Some Days It Feels Like Yesterday, Some Days It Feels Like Forever Ago
From the glitz and glamour of Waikiki to the rural beachsides of Haleiwa, ‘Some Days It Feels Like Yesterday, Some Days It Feels Like Forever Ago’ depicts the contrast between the big city life of Hawaii and its local north shore neighbourhoods that are rarely depicted in modern media. This body of work allows the audience to peek behind the curtain of the tourism daydream that has been built upon for decades into a sun-kissed tropical mirage. These images are from 2019 whilst on assignment for a friend's musical project connected to his family living on the island.

As the years pass me by and time grows older, the days that have passed become nothing more than a daydream. Dates jumble around a disjointed timeline of scattered memories buried beneath the sands of the hour glass. Did these moments happen yesterday or was it forever ago?
